Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a KYC Analyst , you’ll play a vital role in protecting the bank from financial crime and ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations. You’ll be responsible for conducting both periodic and event-driven customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews. This includes analysing customer profiles, identifying risk indicators, and maintaining accurate records in our systems.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders such as Relationship Managers, Compliance, and Risk teams to gather and verify customer information. Your ability to make the due diligence process as seamless and customer-friendly as possible—while upholding compliance standards—will be key to your success.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support remediation projects, and stay ahead of changes in legislation and industry best practices.
Nā tōu rourou | What will you bring?
We’re looking for someone who brings a strong mix of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. You’ll also bring:
- 1+ years’ experience in a KYC, AML, or compliance-related role within financial services or legal.
- A solid understanding of AML/CFT legislation and regulatory expectations in New Zealand.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using customer management and compliance systems.
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Experience working with high-risk customer types (e.g. trusts, PEPs, offshore entities).
- A CAMS or similar AML certification.
