Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Services in Dundalk, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. Use your communication and computer skills to document activity and support daily operations while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or members of the public at a government maritime transportation location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, access points, buildings, roadways, parking areas, waterfront perimeters, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or unusual conditions, and report observations through established communication and reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
