Description
Accounts Receivable Analyst
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica
Join Lonza as an Accounts Receivable Analyst and play a key role in supporting our financial operations and customer relationships. In this position, you will help drive cash collection performance, resolve customer account issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure outstanding customer experience while contributing to Lonza’s continued growth.

What you will do:
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment of invoices through proactive communication and relationship management.
Develop and execute effective collection strategies to improve payment performance and meet cash collection targets.
Partner closely with Commercial and other internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and support business objectives.
Investigate outstanding balances, identify root causes of payment issues, and drive resolution with customers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities, customer interactions, payment commitments, and account status updates.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering excellent service and ensuring prompt issue resolution.
Support invoice management processes, including customer portal uploads and quality checks to ensure billing accuracy.
What we are looking for:
Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience in accounts receivable specifically within collections; Shared Service Center experience is advantageous.
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions using available data.
High attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards.
