IT Assistant - Intern - 3 month-term

Overview

The IT Assistant is an entry level opportunity and will be responsible for asssiting the IT Team. This role reports to the Director, IT. 

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance using the phone, and electronically through email and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware (point of sale, computers, payment terminals) and software issues.
• Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, including network setup, DNS, connectivity, firewalls (Cisco), switches, access points, etc.
• Keep track of IT inventory and organize storage upon receiving shipments.
• Setup/troubleshoot digital signage screens and store kiosks.
• Resolve store and office IT related issues.
• Delegate help desk tickets to proper channels within the company.
• Provide in-store support for kiosks, point-of-sale systems, payment terminals.
• Troubleshoot IP camera and security issues.
• Order hardware from select vendors and expect delivery on time.
• Follow standard help desk procedures, logging tickets and following up to close.
• Identify and escalate situations and prioritize urgent Issues to the right person.
• Prepare store opening kits.
• Flexible work schedule (weekends on call support)
• Ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and impeccable attention to detail.
• Experience with Networking (Firewall, Switches, AP’s).
• Experience with POS and Debit terminals.
• Experience working with remote software and prioritizing tickets.
