Pay Range:
$18.85 - $28.30Social Media Internship for college/university junior or senior, or recent graduate, obtaining BA/BS/MBA in public relations, marketing, journalism/mass communications or equivalent area of focus.
Overview:
Advocate Health’s Social Media Internship allows students to gain experience working alongside social media professionals managing the 3rd largest non-for-profit’s social media presence. Interns will be able to gain valuable and marketable experience in the social media field.
Responsibilities include:
Produce social media posts for Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram including graphics, written content, videos, etc.
Monitor social media activity on brand accounts, including reviews, messages, comments, etc.
Design graphics for Facebook and Instagram including infographics for social media platforms as needed.
Help with projects pertaining to management of social media accounts, audits and presentations.
Assist with profile reviews, managing social media databases, marketing projects and more.
Boost writing and editorial skills by assisting on a variety of external communications initiatives.
Gain experience in social media management tools.
Enhance business acumen by building relationships with administrative managers, directors and other department members.
Assist with ideation of social media initiatives.
Qualifications:
Passion for social media, marketing, writing and health care
College/university junior or senior, or recent graduate, obtaining BA/BS/MBA in public relations, marketing, journalism/mass communications or equivalent area of focus
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Self-motivated and effective task manager
High level of creativity and ability to think outside of the box
Ability to work independently and think critically
Organized and detail oriented
Access to reliable transportation
Knowledge of social media and marketing strategies, journalism or media relations preferred
