Position Summary
The Lodging Manager is responsible for overseeing lodging operations, property presentation, and housekeeping services across a premier destination ranch resort. This highly visible leadership role ensures exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and operational excellence throughout multiple lodging properties. As the resort continues to grow, the Lodging Manager must be adaptable and willing to seamlessly pivot between three lodge locations, guest accommodations throughout the ranch, and off-ranch properties as business demands require. This position serves as a key ambassador of the Devil’s Thumb brand and is expected to maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times while adhering to the resort's uniform standards. Working closely with the Director of Lodging, Guest Services, Maintenance, and Operations teams, the Lodging Manager plays a critical role in delivering the elevated service and memorable experiences that define the ranch as a premier destination resort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lodging Operations
• Oversee daily lodging operations across multiple lodge locations, ranch accommodations, and off-property lodging units.
• Ensure consistent service standards, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences throughout all accommodations. • Remain flexible and responsive to operational needs by rotating between three lodges and off-ranch properties as required.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, cabins, common areas, and lodging facilities to ensure resort-quality presentation. • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to address repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing of lodging, housekeeping, and guest amenity supplies.
• Ensure all lodging facilities reflect the luxury, authenticity, and hospitality standards of a destination resort.
Housekeeping Management
Guest Experience
• Foster a warm, welcoming, and service-oriented environment that exceeds guest expectations.
• Act as a visible presence throughout the resort, engaging with guests and proactively addressing needs.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, requests, and service recovery situations.
• Partner with Guest Services and other operational departments to provide seamless and memorable guest experiences.
• Identify opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction, lodging quality, and overall resort presentation.
• Serve as a professional representative of the resort through appearance, demeanor, communication, and service excellence.
Team Leadership
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing lodging and housekeeping team members.
• Create and maintain staffing schedules while effectively managing labor costs.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture centered on hospitality and service excellence.
• Provide coaching, ongoing feedback, and performance management support.
• Lead by example through a hands-on approach, strong work ethic, and commitment to operational standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
• Maintain operational records, inspection reports, and departmental documentation.
• Monitor occupancy trends, lodging performance metrics, and guest feedback data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and expanding lodging operations throughout the ranch and resort portfolio.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control efforts within the lodging division.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and flexible schedules based on operational needs.
• Ability to travel regularly between lodge locations and off-property accommodations.
