Summary

This job is responsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks involved in the shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Package product for shipment as required.

• Monitor and manage shipping supplies; prepare purchase requisitions to replenish supplies as needed.

• Perform data entry on computer.

• Monitor bin inventory levels in shipping areas and replenish as necessary.

• Operate from established procedures. Maintain an ongoing updated Log Book for BOMs an drawings.

• Job encounters regular and recurring work situations. Contacts are made on own initiative with other departments and/or carriers concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, or approval.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Contributes to team effort.

General Tasks

• Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.

• Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math ability.

• Less than 1 year of experience.

• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs in weight on a semi-repetitive basis.

Compensation and Benefits 

The base pay for this position ranges from $19 up to $22 depending on the geographic market.
