Senior Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst Regulatory Reporting to join our high-performance COO Data Delivery – Risk team.  Using your well-developed data driven insights capability, you’ll have the unique opportunity to solve a broad range of projects and will be responsible for driving the solution design.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives such as achieving sustainable, optimized growth for ING Australia while engaging and supporting a broad range of stakeholders whilst developing your own skills and knowledge across the credit lifecycle.

Reporting to the Manager - Regulatory Reporting, You’ll act as a subject matter expert for regulatory reporting, partnering with Risk, Finance, Data, Technology, and Project teams to ensure accurate reporting, data quality, regulatory compliance, and effective control management. Responsible for reconciliations, reporting oversight, issue resolution, audit readiness, and governance.

Also supports regulatory change and transformation initiatives through business analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and production support, while providing BAU expertise for incidents, defects, change requests, and data quality remediation.

What you’ll do …

• Own and deliver APRA regulatory returns accurately, completely, and on time.
• Execute reporting controls, data quality checks, reconciliations, and trend analysis.
• Investigate reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation.
• Act as the SME for regulatory requirements, reporting methodologies, and data definitions.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Data, Technology, and Operations teams to enhance reporting outcomes.
• Support regulatory change initiatives and continuously improve reporting processes, controls, and governance.
  
  

What we’re looking for….

• An understanding of regulatory requirements related to credit risk, including APRA prudential and reporting standard
• Intermediate to advanced level of SAS/SQL and Python experience
• The ability to work with minimal supervision with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent strong problem-solving skills
