Job Title: Senior Business Analyst, Sales Planning & Strategy, Global Payment Network

Location: London - Hybrid 

Working Pattern: 3 days in-office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote.

About the Role:

This role sits within the Global Acceptance team under the Global Payments Network. Our mission is to ensure the Discover network is reliably and consistently accepted across key international markets. Within this group, the Sales Planning and Strategy team unlocks high-priority growth opportunities, partnering closely with Business Development to build market-winning plans and maximise acceptance worldwide.

The Senior Business Analyst will deliver critical strategic and analytical support to their assigned international markets. They will build territory designs, establish key performance metrics, set annual and quarterly sales targets, and deliver actionable insights that optimise sales performance. Functioning as a key thought-partner across Business Development, Product, Data Operations, and Risk, they will play a foundational role in building a rigorous, data-driven sales strategy from the ground up.

What you’ll do

• Drive Strategic Growth Plans: Lead the identification, assessment, and execution of strategic growth opportunities across your assigned markets.
• Enable High-Performance Sales: Establish territory designs, sales plans, and analytical feedback loops that continuously optimize field performance.
• Define Sales Goals & Targets: Set annual and quarterly sales goals for markets overall, establishing measurement frameworks that align directly with regional and global objectives.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Business Development, Product, Operations, and executive leadership to align and execute on growth priorities.
• Inform Infrastructure & Tools: Serve as a key stakeholder and advisor in building best-in-class data systems, operational workflows, and sales tools.

The skills and experience you need

• A passion for solving analytical challenges, with a proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics.
• A STEM or Economics degree or equivalent.
• Experience working in the payments industry
• Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement.
• A clear results orientation with an intense focus on achieving short and long-term goals in an uncertain and fluid environment.
• Working knowledge of statistical model building, SQL querying, market research, or consulting.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our London office.

We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work-from-home days.
