We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to gather technical and functional requirements, create processes and workflows, perform healthcare data analysis, and develop source-to-target mappings using HL7/FHIR messaging protocols. This position will be a contract and remote.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
What You’ll Do
Gather and document technical and functional requirements from stakeholders
Perform source-to-target mapping of healthcare data to enterprise data models
Conduct multi-layer data analysis by linking information from multiple healthcare data sources
Assist with stakeholder mapping, analysis, and requirements elicitation activities
Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder collaboration
Create project artifacts, documentation, reports, process flows, data dictionaries, and mapping documents
Develop requirements plans including approach, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables
Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Clinical Informatics Specialists, Enterprise Architects, and other cross-functional teams
Support quality assurance efforts by assisting with test scenario development
Manage requirements scope through established change control processes
Assist in evaluating technical solution options and preparing recommendations
Conduct research and environmental scans as needed
Produce clear, concise, and accurate stakeholder documentation
Attend meetings during EST business hour
Perform other related duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
Minimum 7-10 years' experience as a senior Data Analyst in the healthcare sector
Knowledge of FHIR
Excellent skills building source to target mappings using hl7/FHIR messaging protocols, technical and functional requirements and conducting analysis in a healthcare setting
Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, developing agendas, requirements elicitation, and facilitating collaboration across a variety of stakeholder groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management and documentation skills
Experience analyzing processes and understanding the interactions between various healthcare systems
Ability to work with operations teams, develop documentation to meet their needs and support the development of change management, training, and user resources
Strong communication skills to support communication between technical and business teams
Experience working within Health Sector or similar province-wide health systems
Experience in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects
Portfolio samples which clearly demonstrate expertise and experience (integration deliverables, FHIR profiles, implementation guides etc.)
Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development
Preferred:
5+ years of experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms including Veradigm eClinicalWorks, Oracle Health/Cerner, Epic, AthenaHealth, and Medent
7-10+ year’s experience in FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, clinical data exchanges, data mapping, terminology standards, workflow analysis, and translating clinical requirements into scalable healthcare technology solutions
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$55-$62 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
