Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Reception Desk in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor security-related activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Using a computer or tablet, you will support daily operations through clear communication and a professional presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the commercial real estate location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Monitor front desk communications, cameras, access-control systems, and building entry points, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures, providing clear directions to occupants and visitors, and coordinating with first responders and property management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
