Manage assigned outsourced systems commodity for the Gas Power New Units business. Develop and execute commodity strategy to optimize SQDC. Negotiate supplier contracts to achieve optimal terms while meeting project needs.

 Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of supplier contracts for assigned commodity.
• Develop and manage supplier panel.
• Develop and execute supplier strategies to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Identify suppliers for project quotes and lead negotiations.
• Ensure adequate capacity exists from supplier panels for assigned commodities
• Allocate demand and ensure suppliers meet GEV requirements.
• Coordinate awards and purchase order placement with ITO, Engineering, Projects, Quality and Procurement.
• Manage contract changes and commercial claims related to delivery and quality.
• Build subject matter expertise in assigned commodity.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Resolve complex issues, build stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members.
• Use sound judgment, technical expertise, data analytics, and cross-functional input to support decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and/or commodity management

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Established project management skills.
• Experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supply Chain Management.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts.
• Knowledge of legal terms and contract negotiation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 20%.
• This role can be done remotely from the US. However, it is preferred that the selected candidate resides close to a GEV facility.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
