Position Overview:
Freddie Mac is seeking an experienced Technology Risk Management - Senior PMO and Operations Lead to lead strategic integration of AI risk oversight across our technology risk ecosystem while driving operational excellence in cross-domain coordination. This transformational role serves as the critical bridge between Technology Risk Management (TRM), Model Risk, Financial Risk, and Compliance teams, enabling seamless collaboration on emerging AI and GenAI risk challenges. Additionally, this role provides end-to-end leadership across oversight planning, regulatory readiness, reporting, and cross-domain coordination, operating in a high-demand environment that blends structured execution with ongoing ad hoc requests from executive and regulatory stakeholders.
A key focus is establishing integrated oversight frameworks that connect AI Risk, Data Risk, and traditional technology domains, positioning TRM to respond effectively to accelerating AI adoption, dynamic regulatory requirements, and increasing FHFA oversight expectations. An additional need to to elevate how complex risk topics, such as AI, are communicated through executive-ready materials (e.g., PowerPoint) that drive decision-oriented insights. Finally, this role enables cross-domain risk intelligence, enabling leadership to focus on enterprise strategy while ensuring operational excellence in planning, reporting, and regulatory readiness across all technology risk domains.

As part of Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Risk (ER) organization, Technology Risk Management (TRM) drives consistency, transparency, and effectiveness in nonfinancial risk oversight across multiple domains, including AI, Cyber, Data, Resiliency, and Technology Risk.
This role enables TRM to evolve from domain-specific oversight to integrated risk management, addressing:
Accelerating GenAI adoption across Freddie Mac operations
Dynamic state and federal AI regulatory landscape
Increasing FHFA focus on AI, cybersecurity, and technology modernization
Complex interdependencies between AI, data, and model risks
Multi-year technology transformation programs requiring coordinated oversight
Alignment to enterprise priorities, delivered consistently and on time, supported by accurate, decision-ready outputs, and executed in a scalable and repeatable manner
Your Impact:
1. Enable Executive & Regulatory Readiness
Own delivery of integrated reporting across AI, data, and technology risk domains
Develop executive briefings that synthesize cross-domain AI risk intelligence
Support FHFA examinations and regulatory inquiries on AI and technology risks
2. Transform AI Risk Insight
Translate complex AI risk topics into executive-ready communications and regulatory responses
Establish unified planning cycles that align AI Risk, Data Risk, and technology domains
Own operational readiness for CRO reporting and FHFA engagement on AI and technology risks
3. Drive Cross-Domain Coordination
Lead strategic integration of AI Risk, Data Risk, Model Risk, and Compliance oversight planning, execution, and reporting
Create cross-domain risk intelligence that identifies emerging patterns and interconnected risks
Drive continuous improvement through cross-domain insights and performance metrics
4. Lead and Develop High-Performing Team
Manage and develop Senior-level professionals supporting day-to-day operations
Build team capabilities in Technology risk coordination, regulatory reporting, and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience including model risk management and governance, program management, and/or compliance/risk management operations within a complex, regulated environment
Advanced proficiency in executive communications and regulatory reporting
Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leadership and cross-functional teams, with a particular focus in technology risk and model/AI risk
Strong background in regulatory change management, compliance monitoring and supporting regulatory examinations
Experience with AI/ML model validation, governance frameworks, or emerging technology oversight
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and executive communications, with demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear narratives
Experience with planning and workflow tools (e.g., Jira, SharePoint, reporting tools)

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $166,000 - $248,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
