Meet the Team
Cisco Customer Experience (CX) is a team of extraordinary technical experts whose #1 focus is to deliver a premier customer experience. We help our customers take on their toughest business challenges with network-centric solutions that accelerate adoption, expansion, and renewals. Our Consulting Engineering partners with some of the largest enterprises in the world to design, deploy, and optimize next-generation networks built on Cisco SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching — turning customer outcomes into measurable business value.
Your Impact
As a Senior Consulting Engineer, you will lead the strategy, design, and optimization of Cisco's most complex SD-Access, SD-WAN, Meraki and Routing & Switching engagements. This role is exciting because you'll shape customer hardware and software roadmaps, integrate emerging AI and AIOps capabilities into our delivery practice, mentor the next generation of engineers, and build influence across the theatre and beyond — through industry forums, intellectual capital, and strategic customer advisory.
- Lead end-to-end strategy, deployment, and optimization of complex multi-domain solutions across SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching for strategic customers.
- Review and approve designs and deliverables, including input to customer hardware/software roadmaps, embedding Resilience and Security by Design.
- Integrate AI, automation, and AIOps into delivery practices; manage the team's knowledge repository, playbooks, and reusable IP.
- Act as the senior escalation point for the most complex technical issues; build advanced customer simulations and lead resolution across vendors and partners.
- Mentor junior Consulting Engineers, build leadership presence through industry events (e.g., Cisco Live, IETF), and use competitive insights to differentiate Cisco solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's + 9 years, Master's + 7 years of related experience, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Active CCNP certification with DevNet (DevOps) specialization as a plus
- 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and optimizing enterprise-scale Cisco networks.
- Recognized expertise across Cisco SD-Access or Cisco SD-WAN/Meraki and enterprise Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS/Segment Routing, VXLAN/LISP, multicast, segmentation).
- Experience with software programmability, automation, orchestration, and AIOps (Python, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, NETCONF/YANG, REST APIs).
Preferred Qualifications
- CCIE certification (Enterprise Infrastructure or equivalent).
- Specialized domain expertise (e.g., Healthcare, BFSI, Public Sector, Service Provider).
- Proven track record of leading multi-million-dollar engagements and complex transformation programs.
- Strong executive communication, mentorship, and thought-leadership skills; experience contributing to industry forums or technical publications.
- Strategic mindset with business and financial acumen to articulate solution value to executive technical buyers.
