Software Engineering Team Lead (iOS)

As an iOS Team Lead within Mobile Infrastructure, you will define the mobile strategy, mentor your team, and enhance developer experience, architecture, and CI/CD tools. You will foster collaboration and continuous learning to empower engineering teams delivering global products and lead by example to inspire technical excellence and foster a culture focused on continuous learning and team growth.

 

 

 

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of iOS engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment;
• Roadmap & Delivery: Own the execution of the iOS Infrastructure technical roadmap, ensuring the platform, tooling, and shared components empower the wider iOS engineering team to deliver quality features quickly;
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews across the codebase, ensuring software quality and adherence to best practices;
• Architecture and Design: Contribute to architectural decisions across our shared iOS infrastructure — including modularization, dependency injection, and build tooling — while considering scalability, performance, and maintainabilit;
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, Principal Engineers, Android and Backend teams, and Software Engineers in Test. Act as an enabler for the wider engineering organization by providing the tools, frameworks, and technical foundations teams need to deliver effectively;
• Problem Solving: Support the team in complex problem-solving and troubleshooting, offering guidance and expertise where needed;
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity;
• Mentoring: Mentor and coach team members, promoting skill development, technical growth, and career progression;
• Code Quality: Ensure code quality, maintainability, and documentation by setting and enforcing coding standards;
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project and technical risks, proactively addressing challenges and bottlenecks.

What you'll bring:

 

• 3+ years of experience in a formal leadership or team management role, with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a team while owning career development and performance reviews;
• Proven experience as an iOS Engineer with a strong track record of successful mobile development projects;
• Strong technical expertise in Swift, solid understanding of iOS frameworks, build systems, and design patterns;
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Knowledge of software design patterns, mobile architecture, and app scalability;
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and project management tools (Jira/Confluence);
• A demonstrated AI-first mindset, actively leveraging AI tools and assistants to improve productivity, problem-solving, and decision-making. You continuously explore new AI capabilities and champion their practical adoption within teams, using AI as a natural part of day-to-day work rather than merely a supplementary tool.
