We’re currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and inspect new and used cranes and hook loaders

• Fabricate and install subframes from design through to manufacture

• Complete installations to Palfinger’s high standards

• Perform service and maintenance on vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders

• Accurately complete all job documentation

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow site policies and procedures

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in a similar industry

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)

• Experience working on heavy vehicles

• Strong fabrication and welding skills

• Familiarity with cranes and/or hook loaders (advantageous)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Proven ability to work safely and manage time effectively

• Competent in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Current driver’s licence (HR preferred)
