About The Opportunity
The Senior Director, Human Resources serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to functional Vice Presidents and senior business leaders. This role is responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, driving organizational performance, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.As a member of the HR leadership team, the Senior Director will lead talent and workforce strategies across designated functions, providing guidance on organizational design, succession planning, talent development, employee engagement, change management, total rewards, employee relations, and workforce planning. The role balances strategic leadership with operational excellence to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent while delivering business results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner closely with functional Vice Presidents and leadership teams to develop and execute people strategies that support business objectives and growth plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, team performance, and leadership effectiveness.
- Translate business strategies into actionable talent and organizational plans.
- Provide insight and recommendations leveraging people analytics, workforce data, and market trends.
Talent & Leadership
- Lead talent review, succession planning, and high-potential development processes across supported functions.
- Partner with leaders to identify critical talent needs and develop robust talent pipelines.
- Drive leadership development initiatives that build enterprise leadership capabilities and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Coach leaders through complex people, organizational, and business challenges.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change
- Lead organizational design and restructuring initiatives that enhance agility, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Partner with leaders to drive change management strategies during business transformations, acquisitions, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate strategies that strengthen team effectiveness, accountability, and employee engagement.
Employee Experience & Employee Relations
- Foster a positive employee experience through proactive engagement strategies and meaningful leadership partnerships.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices.
- Support initiatives that promote employee well-being, inclusion, and belonging.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead the Talent Acquisition team to develop workforce strategies that address current and future business needs.
- Support recruitment efforts for key leadership and critical talent positions.
- Leverage workforce planning processes to anticipate talent gaps and develop proactive solutions.
HR Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate across Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of HR programs and services.
- Help shape enterprise-wide HR strategies, policies, and initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships across functions to drive alignment and organizational success.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- Master's degree, MBA, or advanced HR-related degree preferred.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including strategic HR Business Partner leadership.
- Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams in a complex, multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change, talent strategy, and leadership development initiatives.
Work Environment & Travel
- This role is based onsite and is expected to maintain a strong physical presence within the business.
- Travel needs are minimal.
