Logistics Clerk

Description

Lin Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support our shipping and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for processing customer shipments, maintaining accurate records, coordinating carrier pickups, and providing cross-trained support within the warehouse. What You Will Do:

Shipping Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
• Prepare shipping documents, including packing slips, labels, and bills of lading.
• Coordinate carrier pickups and resolve shipping issues.
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain shipment records within the ERP system.
• Complete damage claims and related documentation.
• Communicate shipping priorities with internal departments.

Warehouse Support Responsibilities

• Pull and stage materials for shipments and production needs.
• Locate missing inventory and assist with inventory accuracy.
• Restock warehouse pick locations.
• Enter and update inventory data within the ERP system.
• Support warehouse operations during absences and peak periods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of shipping, logistics, warehouse, or related experience.
• Experience using shipping software and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to cross-train and support multiple logistics functions.

Preferred

• Experience with UPS, FedEx, and freight carrier platforms.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling.
• Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
