Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• Assist patients under the supervision of Occupational Therapists by implementing care plans
• Instruct patients in the use of adaptive technology and equipment
• Advise families on care needs in accordance with legal and clinical standards
• Conduct home visits to demonstrate functional skills, mobility, and home safety
• Coordinate therapeutic activities to improve physical, mental, and social functioning
• Support overall goals of the therapy team and contribute to each resident’s quality of life

• Must be licensed and registered to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida (required)
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent (required)
