Job Description

As a Security Officer X Ray Parcel Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by operating screening equipment, monitoring access points, and identifying potential security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help maintain orderly operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures, including inspection of permitted items and verification of credentials.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and restricted areas; report unusual activity, prohibited items, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility access points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
