Job Description

As a Security Officer Market in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report security-related concerns, and assist with access control, deliveries, and visitor directions in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
