Position Summary

The Director, Applications leads the strategy, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Bedrock's enterprise applications portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring technology solutions support business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and enable organizational growth. Working closely with business and technology leaders, the Director oversees application roadmaps, development initiatives, vendor relationships, governance, budgets, and team performance across key business applications, including platforms such as Salesforce, Yardi, Workday, and other enterprise systems  

Essential Functions  

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Bedrock's enterprise applications portfolio aligned with organizational goals and priorities.  

• Lead and develop the Applications team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and customer-focused culture.  

• Oversee planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery of application development, enhancement, integration, and support initiatives.  

• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for application enhancements and new technology solutions that improve business outcomes.  

• Act as a liaison between Technology and business functions to ensure solutions align with business needs and operational requirements.  

• Develop and maintain relationships with software vendors, consultants, and service providers.  

• Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, renewals, risk management activities, invoicing, and ongoing vendor performance.  

• Develop and manage application roadmaps, budgets, resources, and priorities to ensure effective allocation of resources and cost efficiency.  

• Establish and monitor application performance metrics and key performance indicators.  

• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and modernization efforts across the applications portfolio.  

• Ensure application security, integrity, and compliance in partnership with other technology teams.  

• Serve as a key technology stakeholder for application implementations, major upgrades, system migrations, and enterprise transformation initiatives.  

• Lead release management, communication, testing coordination, and change management efforts for enterprise applications.  

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.  

• 10-12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 7 years working within the commercial real estate industry. 

• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting enterprise business applications, accounting systems, budgeting and forecasting systems, financial systems, or related technologies. 

• Experience leading technical teams responsible for application architecture, development, integration, implementation, and support. 

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications, project plans, and business cases.  

• Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams. 

• Experience supporting enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Yardi, Workday, or comparable business platforms.

Work Environment  

• Bedrock is an in-person, five-day-a-week workplace. All team members are expected to work on site Monday through Friday during standard business hours, unless otherwise specified by their role or designated shift. 

• Some roles may have flexibility to work remotely on Fridays, based on the nature of the work and business needs. This flexibility is granted at the discretion of the Company and may be adjusted at any time. 

• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; occasional movement between buildings; ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
