Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS), a mission area within Advanced Products & Solutions (APS), is seeking a Senior Analyst, FP&A, to support the Surveillance and Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) Finance Team. 

 

The STaRS organization consists of four portfolios: Harpoon, Terrain Following Radars (TFR), Multi-Domain Surveillance Radars (MSR), and Advanced Early Warning and Reconnaissance Systems (AEWRS). The portfolios include Production, Development, and Sustainment programs. 

 

This position is offered in a hybrid capacity and requires the candidate to be located within a commutable distance to McKinney, TX. 

 

The Senior Analyst, FP&A will support RPlan forecasting, Short Range Outlook (SRO), and Long-Range Planning (LRP) activities. The position will interact with leaders and cross functional partners within the STaRS and RFS organizations. Responsibilities include financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, balance sheet activities, and business reviews. 

 

What You Will Do: 

• Support the preparation and delivery of financial reports, presentations, and FP&A deliverables with a focus on data integrity, completeness, and timeliness 

• Coordinate weekly and monthly financial reporting activities within STaRS, including collection of inputs, review of financial information, and submission of deliverables to RFS FP&A. 

• Analyze financial performance, including bookings, sales, profit, cash, and receipts. 

• Identify and communicate financial variances and other items that may affect financial results. 

• Perform month end and quarter end variance analysis and element of cost analysis for STaRS labor and material forecasts. 

• Support Long-Range Planning (LRP) activities and associated RFS FP&A deadlines and STaRS deliverables. 

• Support the STaRS Short Range Outlook (SRO) process, including preparation, review, and submission of financial information. 

• Prepare and support monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, cash reviews, and business reviews, including Status Reporting, Key Metrics Reporting, and Management Review Packages. 

• Analyze balance sheet accounts and identify items requiring follow-up or resolution. 

• Monitor inventory Accounts Receivable (ARs), Contract Funding Requirements (CFRs), Sales Capping, and Capital Projects. 

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting activities as assigned. 

 

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of finance experience; or an advanced degree in a related field. 

• Experience using Microsoft Analysis for Office (A/O) for financial reporting and analysis. 

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for financial analysis, reporting, and presentations. 

• Knowledge of bookings, sales, profit, and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications We Prefer 

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Program Controls. 

• Experience using RPlan for financial forecasting or planning. 

• Experience with Estimate at Completion (EAC). 

• Experience managing multiple financial reporting and analysis activities with established deadlines. 

• Experience organizing financial data, reports, and deliverables. 

• Experience communicating financial information to management and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Experience working with Finance, Program Management, and other functional organizations. 

• Experience working with large financial datasets and performing financial analysis. 

• Experience analyzing financial scenarios and identifying financial variances. 

• Experience identifying and implementing financial process improvements. 

• Experience reviewing financial data for accuracy and completeness.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
