Supply Chain Risk & Resilience Leader - Carmel, IN

What You Will Do:

• Lead the implementation of a corporate supply chain risk & resilience framework aligned with business strategy and standards.
• Lead end-to-end supplier and network risk identification, assessment, quantification and prioritization (including operational, financial, geopolitical, cyber, environmental, and compliance risks).
• Build and maintain a mapped, data-driven view of the supply chain (tiered supplier mapping, single-point-of-failure identification, critical part visibility, lead-times and concentration).
• Work closely with Global supply management to develop, validate and operationalize risk mitigation strategies: multi-sourcing, dual sourcing, strategic inventory positioning, contractual terms, alternate routing, nearshoring, capacity agreements, and scenario-based contingency plans.
• Establish incident management and crisis response processes, tools, runbooks and war-rooms; own post-incident reviews and executive reporting.
• Lead rigorous root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa, fault-tree analysis, DMAIC) after any operational incident; define and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure and verify effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
• Implement governance: risk appetite, thresholds, escalation paths, regular risk reviews, KPIs and dashboards for executive leadership and the board.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, audits, tabletop exercises, supplier audits, business continuity planning, and resilience testing.
• Mentor and build internal capability. Train cross-functional teams on risk assessment, resilience tools and playbooks.
• Integrate risk & resilience considerations into S&OP, procurement strategy, product lifecycle decisions and capital projects. Partner with COE Material management to define and implement S&OE cadence, governance and escalation protocols (daily/weekly execution meetings, decision rights, RACI).

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP), Six Sigma/Lean, PMP are desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience focused on supply chain risk, resilience, business continuity or a closely related function and 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience preferred.
• Proven track record of driving change management initiatives and successfully influencing cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
• Extensive experience in building relationships, leading without authority, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and guiding teams through strategic transitions.
• Demonstrated success in designing and executing change management strategies that drive adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes across cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record leading root cause investigations and delivering programmatic risk reduction across global supply chains.
• Deep SME knowledge of supply chain operations and risk management concepts.
• Technical proficiency in root cause methodologies (5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, fault-tree, DMAIC), CAPA systems and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Strong analytics capability: risk quantification, scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and use of tools such as Excel, Power BI/Tableau, statistical packages or supply chain risk platforms.
• Familiarity with ERP and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management systems) such as: Blue Yonder/Oracle or equivalent digital mapping tools; experience leveraging data feeds for monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills; able to translate potential geographical and/or political risk into business decisions and financial impacts.
• Project and program management skills; experience delivering cross-functional initiatives on time and budget.
• Travel up to 20–30% (dependent on roll-out site visits and key stakeholder meetings).
