As a Telecommunications Engineer on our team, you have the chance to lead the end-to-end design, survey, procurement, and deployment of optical network infrastructure across military and enterprise sites. You Have: 

• Experience working as a telecommunications engineer

• Experience in optical transmission technologies and optical test procedures

• Experience with system-level network topology planning and physical-layer telecommunications infrastructure

• Experience drafting requirements, technical site documentation, trip reports, engineering change requests, and architecture diagrams

• Experience architecting and designing complex systems

• Experience with network technology, components, systems, and vendors

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with network technologies, or 12+ years of experience with network technologies in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with telecom service provider engagement

• Knowledge of DISN operational processes, Telecommunications Service Orders (TSOs), Telecommunications Service Requests (TSRs), and Department of Defense (DoD) network security architectures

• Ability to research and resolve issues in systems implementations and configurations

• BICSI Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
