The Senior Supply Chain Procurement role is an experienced individual contributor who owns the data, reporting, and analytics behind Deluxe's direct materials sourcing and procurement activity with key suppliers. Partnering closely with the Director and Manager, this role supports the execution of sourcing initiatives and supplier engagement, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, and service across the direct materials portfolio.
Supply Chain Management and Procurement Support
Support the Manager and Director in executing day-to-day sourcing activities across assigned direct material categories (e.g., paper, inks, envelopes, binders, corrugated boxes) as assigned by the Director/Manager.
Coordinate with Supply Planning, Engineering, Operations, Accounts Payable, and warehouse leads to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and track open orders to completion.
Assist with RFQ preparation, quote compilation, and bid analysis under the direction of the Manager and Director.
Follow up on Purchase Order (PO) acknowledgments, delivery confirmations, and invoice matching issues.
Data Management, Reporting & Systems
Own the end-to-end management of Purchasing Info Records (PIRs) and related data in SAP S/4HANA, including setup of new material-vendor relationships, maintenance of pricing and conditions, and ongoing data integrity to support accurate procurement and planning activities.
Generate recurring reports on PIR, source list, and contract coverage to identify gaps, expired records, and materials without a valid source of supply.
Own the end-to-end management of Quality Notifications (QNs) and reporting of the related data in SAP S/4HANA for supplier defects or non-conformances, coordinating with relevant stakeholders on root cause and corrective actions, and driving and tracking of timely resolution and closure.
Own end-to-end management and monitoring of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reporting, including monitoring open Purchase Orders (POs), past-due confirmations, and invoice receipt. Assist in resolving missing GRs and PO quantity/price mismatches.
Monitor open POs, past-due confirmations, GR/IR aging reports and other reports to drive clean-up activities with Procurement, Supply Planning, and AP.
Compile and organize spend data, delivery metrics, overall supplier performance metrics, and category reports to support dashboards and executive reporting.
Runs and interprets standard S/4 Fiori procurement dashboards to surface trends and flag exceptions to Manager/Director and/or Supply Planning.
Primary contact to support suppliers when onboarding master supplier data in SAP Ariba or S4, including document collection, profile setup, and status tracking.
Assist in compiling data related to cost tracking, savings documentation, and value engineering data gathering.
Identify and flag data discrepancies or process gaps and escalate to the Manager/Director for resolution.
Supplier Communication & Coordination
Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned suppliers on routine order-related inquiries, delivery schedule confirmations, and documentation requests.
Monitor supplier delivery performance against PO commitments and escalate delays or quality concerns to the Manager.
Assist in preparing supplier performance scorecards and quarterly business review materials.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times, improving data quality, and enhancing procurement workflows.
Pursue ongoing development of procurement knowledge, SAP skills, and supply chain best practices through training and mentorship.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years, or HS/GED and 7 years in Supply Chain
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA purchasing processes.
- Experience using SAP Ariba for sourcing, contracting, or supplier interactions.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting direct materials, MRO, engineered parts, or industrial supply categories.
- Familiarity with supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and RFQ/RFP processes.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.Benefits
