The Dental Ceramist will use your expert knowledge of dental materials and techniques to create custom dental appliances and restorations for our patients. Requirements

Dental Ceramist Qualifications

• Must possess a high level of technical skill and manual dexterity
• Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions
• Ability to accurately fabricate and repair crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and other dental prostheses
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
• Familiarity with dental laboratory equipment and materials
• Ability to work independently and take direction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics and quality
• Ability to lift, move, and manipulate up to 30 pounds

Dental Ceramist Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate custom dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, and veneers 
• Create wax molds and patterns for dental prosthetics 
• Examine tooth impressions and develop treatment plans in consultation with dentists 
• Select and mix dental materials such as porcelain and acrylic to make prosthetics 
• Cut, shape, and adjust prosthetics to fit patient’s teeth and bite 
• Ensure finished dental prosthetics are of the highest quality and meet patient’s needs 
• Clean and maintain dental laboratory equipment 
• Keep detailed records of dental prosthetics made and treatments provided 
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Dental Ceramist Education

• Bachelor's degree in dentistry or related field preferred

Dental Ceramist Experience

• At least 5 years of dental ceramist experience in a laboratory setting
