The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. We are seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Transformation Management Office (TMO). Reporting to the Manager, Business Design, you will support the delivery of enterprise transformation initiatives by coordinating operational readiness activities, enabling governance processes, and providing strategic and analytical support. Working across business units and leadership teams, you will develop executive materials, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and help drive organizational alignment and transformation outcomes.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Transformation Readiness, Coordination & Governance

• Coordinate operational readiness activities to support successful transformation initiative implementation and Day 1 readiness.
• Report on readiness activities, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and key milestones in partnership with operational teams.
• Facilitate risk mitigation, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment across the organization.
• Develop executive-level presentations, recommendations, and governance materials.

Business Design, Analysis & Strategy

• Drive stakeholder alignment by connecting strategic objectives, operational requirements, and organizational capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional workshops and stakeholder discussions to define business needs, align priorities, and support decision-making.
• Help initiative leads and project teams develop and implement future-state business designs.
• Analyze business processes, operating models, risks, dependencies, and impacts to support transformation planning and execution.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable recommendations and practical solutions.
• Build strong relationships across the organization, serving as a trusted advisor and facilitator.
• Develop clear communications, presentations, and materials to support leadership decision-making.

What you’ll bring to us:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, economics, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• 7-10+ years of experience in large change initiatives, strategy, operational readiness, or project management is strongly preferred.
• Skilled in project and/or transformation delivery experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop executive level presentations, recommendations, and documents.
• Knowledge of change management, operational readiness, or business transformation practices is considered an asset.
