About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused Tech Field Engineer to provide onsite technical support across a diverse client portfolio including Dell, Lenovo, Apple, and Microsoft environments. This is a hands-on field-based role responsible for delivering break/fix support, installations, upgrades, and maintenance of end-user and infrastructure technologies while ensuring exceptional customer service and SLA performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite hardware, software, and basic network support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers, AV equipment, and other connected technologies.
- Perform break/fix repairs, diagnostics, installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Execute IMAC services (Install, Move, Add, Change) and device deployments.
- Support tech bars, kiosks, and desk-side support requirements.
- Configure, test, and certify hardware, software, and client applications.
- Manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLA targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide timely updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Deliver a professional and customer-centric experience at all times.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 1-2 years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, or field service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Exposure to Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and mobile devices.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Metro VIC region.
Preferred
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, or other relevant technical certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers in a break/fix or field services environment.
