Overview:
Responsible for converting engineering designs into manufacturing-ready processes by developing and maintaining MBOMs, routings, work instructions, and manufacturing plans. Ensures accurate implementation of engineering changes, supports production execution, and drives process standardization through SAP and Solumina systems.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and modify Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) structures and manage engineering changes.
- Receive and review Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).
- Create and maintain production routers to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Develop and update production and rework work instructions.
- Create and maintain SAP routings and master routings.
- Release approved manufacturing and assembly plans for production execution.
- Manage Routing Standard Change Request (RSCR) processes.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard work procedures, Planning in Solumina.
- Create and update detailed work instructions and routing processes for manufacturing activities.
- Create and maintain purchase routing (CCS).
- Generate and maintain tool orders, production orders, and standard work documentation as needed to support production operations.
- Collaborate with Aftermarket teams to assist with field repair and retrofit designs.
- Create Non-Conformance (NC) rework programs to address quality notifications (QNs) and defects.
- Conduct studies to assess and improve production processes and workflows.
- Create and modify routing steps, hours, lot size, Production Resources and Tools (PRTs), and long text.
What You Will Learn:
- Aerospace manufacturing engineering processes
- Application of DFA/DFM principles in real production environments.
- Assembly installation sequencing and shop floor execution for complex aerospace products.
- ERP/PLM tools such as SAP, Teamcenter, Solumina and related manufacturing systems for product data and configuration management.
- Cross-functional collaboration across Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Quality-driven manufacturing aligned with AS9100 systems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing support, with hands-on experience in machining and/or assembly shopfloor operations.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on shopfloor manufacturing experience.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience in Unigraphics (NX) or CATIA V5 and Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to Teamcenter PLM, Solumina & SAP
- Understanding of AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience supporting machine shop or assembly line operations.
- Exposure to aerospace interiors & exterior.
- Familiarity with macros or automation tools.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and structured problem solving.
