Summary of Primary Functions: To develop and perform sound accounting and managerial skills in the accounting and finance areas of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Sets up new projects in ERP system.
Maintains detail and approves invoices for payment and performance bonds.
Collects, distributes and ensures compliance with legal garnishments.
Works on ERP improvement projects.
Send financial information for customer pre-qualifications.
Maintains lease data base. Calculates values, prepares journal entries and ensures compliance with GAAP.
Handles revenue and cost calculations for operating division.
Works directly with GM and plant personnel to accurately prepare and distribute monthly financial statements.
Prepares backlog and days outstanding spreadsheets each month.
Oversees Car-Data program including working with new entrants, system setup, monthly changes and payment.
Prepares and posts monthly recurring journal vouchers.
Performs month end close of ERP system out on a rotating basis.
Prepares bank reconciliations monthly Prepares and audits benefit payments for ancillary plans.
Prepares monthly management reports.
Prepares year end fixed asset depreciation and tax calculations and reconciliations.
Performs ACA calculations and checks.
Prepares required fixed asset reports related to tax abatements.
Prepares year end audit schedules of asset and liability accounts.
Assists with year-end job schedules required by audit.
Job Specifications or Qualifications
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: CPA or CMA is preferred.
Education: College Degree (4 year) in Accounting is required.
Experience: 7 to 10 (+) years prior experience or CPA is required.
