Description
Our General Accountants are responsible for the maintenance of the Franciscan System’s general ledger, verification of financial transactions recorded, development and implementation of period close processes, and assistance with financial reporting. They are both technology and technically savvy, and able to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders throughout the System. At Franciscan, this role will assist with the completion of accounting processes and transactional duties, such as account reconciliations, journal entry compilation and processing, intercompany accounting, audit support, and month end close activities.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Prepare statements in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare and review journal entries, allocations, intercompany accounting, and reconciliations.
Participate in year-end close and prepare financial statements.
Participate in various internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
Prepare external reporting schedules, financial statements, and statutory reports.
Maintain and update master data (e.g., Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, etc.), as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business Administration - Required
2 years Accounting experience - Required
1 year Healthcare experience - Preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State Licensing Board - Preferred
