Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting within a global luxury group. The intern will play a crucial role in documenting key financial processes and developing user-friendly guidance, contributing to the efficiency and clarity of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Documentation:
Assist in the comprehensive documentation of existing accounting processes, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Tax, and Financial Reporting.
Map out workflows, identify key controls, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with various finance team members to gather necessary information and validate process steps.
Concur User Guidance:
Develop clear, concise, and user-friendly guidance materials and training documentation for business users on the effective use of the Concur expense management system.
Identify common user queries and challenges related to Concur and create solutions-oriented resources.
Potentially assist in conducting small training sessions or workshops for business users on Concur functionalities.
Ad-hoc Support:
Provide general support to the finance department on various tasks and projects as needed.
Assist with data entry, reconciliation, and analysis to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, financial statements).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, eager to learn, and a strong problem-solver.
