About the location:

This beautiful resort opened in October 2008, and has 90 one-bedroom villas, 1 Presidential Suite, 45 two-to-five-bedroom residential villas, 5 stunning Food and Beverage venues in addition to managing an off-property beach bar/restaurant, an award-winning over water Spa, 2 tennis courts and a fitness center.We are looking for a talented and passionate Sushi-Chef de Partie specialized in sushi preparation to join our culinary team.
The candidate must have strong technical knowledge of Japanese cuisine, excellent knife skills, and experience preparing high-quality sushi and sashimi in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and other Japanese dishes
Ensure freshness, quality, and consistency of all products
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
Support the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations
Assist with mise en place, ordering, and stock rotation
Minimize wastage and maintain proper portion control
Ensure workstation cleanliness and organization at all times
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years' experience as Sushi Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
Strong knife skills and knowledge of Japanese cuisine
Experience in sushi rice preparation and seafood handling
Basic English communication skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and strong teamwork spirit
Additional Skills Appreciated
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following would be a strong advantage:
Dim Sum
Wok cooking
Teppanyaki
Preferred Profile
Experience in luxury hotels or upscale Japanese restaurants
Passion for Japanese culinary techniques and presentation
Organized, disciplined, and reliable
