Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Chicago Cardiology Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its expanding Electrophysiology (EP) team serving patients throughout the Schaumburg and Oak Park communities.

This opportunity is well suited for an experienced cardiovascular APP or a new graduate with a strong cardiac background and an interest in electrophysiology. The position provides the training and support needed to develop specialized expertise in evaluating and treating heart rhythm disorders.

You’ll collaborate with an experienced team of cardiologists and cardiovascular professionals while building your EP knowledge in a supportive clinical environment. The role also offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no call responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and manage patients with electrophysiology and cardiovascular conditions

• Complete new patient consultations and established patient follow-up visits

• Support the ongoing care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and related cardiovascular conditions

• Review diagnostic studies, laboratory results, and clinical information to help guide treatment decisions

• Work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team

• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and cardiovascular wellness

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Expand your electrophysiology knowledge through hands-on experience and physician collaboration

Who We’re Looking For

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Active, unrestricted Illinois NP or PA license, or eligibility to obtain one before starting

• Previous cardiology or electrophysiology experience as an APP or Registered Nurse is preferred

• New graduates with experience in cardiac care, CVICU, telemetry, electrophysiology, or another cardiovascular setting are encouraged to apply

• Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in electrophysiology

• Patient-centered approach with a commitment to clinical quality and patient satisfaction

• Dependable, collaborative, and comfortable working within a team-based environment

• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
