What you'll do...
Role summary:As a Data Analyst II, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques and business knowledge to support data-driven decision-making across multiple domains including product, finance, marketing, and technology. This role involves identifying relevant data sources, ensuring data quality, and applying statistical methods to generate actionable insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop visualizations and reports that effectively communicate findings, while supporting process improvements and project delivery. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
About the team:
The Data Ventures team advances Walmart’s data transformation by creating B2B data products that empower merchants and suppliers with timely, informed decisions. The team manages the entire data product lifecycle, emphasizing compliance reporting, data analysis, and business process enhancement. In this role you will be a part of the Research and Remediation team which focuses on ensuring that the data provided meets the business expectations once it has been put into production. You will research and present solutions for parity issues between enterprise applications and edge case scenarios which provide decision risk if unaddressed.
What you'll do:
- Leverage business knowledge to ensure that we are meeting business needs for clients and internal users
- Research data quality errors to understand root cause and quantify these opportunities to gain priority in the development road map
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business context and translate requirements into actionable insights.
- Demonstrating proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from relational databases, including experience with Hive and Google BigQuery
- Support the identification and sourcing of relevant data from multiple systems and databases.
- Partner with Account Management and Sales teams in order to drive trust and confidence in our data
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques including exploratory data analysis and statistical methods using tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of business domains including product, finance, marketing, sales, and technology to interpret and apply relevant business metrics.
- Experience with data quality management practices, including profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Ability to develop clear data visualizations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Python libraries to communicate insights effectively.
- Knowledge of data sourcing, integration, and warehousing concepts to support analytical modeling and reporting.
- Effective communication skills to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
