Role summary:Walmart is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support business decision-making through advanced data analysis, visualization, and quality management. This role involves identifying appropriate data sources, performing exploratory and statistical analyses, and translating complex business requirements into actionable insights. The successful candidate will collaborate across functions to develop data-driven solutions that align with strategic objectives, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. About the team:
The Product Analytics team collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science to support data-driven decisions across the eCommerce journey and Store Operations. This team provides critical insights that inform product launches, optimization, and scaling to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes. Responsibilities include leading business reviews, exploratory analyses, opportunity sizing, and experiment evaluation. Positioned centrally in product decision-making, the team combines analytical expertise with business understanding to influence initiatives from ideation through launch, working cross-functionally to ensure measurable impact and continuous product performance monitoring.
What you'll do:
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science to shape product strategy through actionable insights.
- Define North Star metrics, KPIs, guardrails, and measurement frameworks.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover customer behaviors, product friction, and growth opportunities.
- Design A/B tests and apply causal inference techniques to measure incremental product impact.
- Conduct funnel, cohort, segmentation, retention, forecasting, and opportunity-sizing analyses.
- Build scalable dashboards, automated monitoring, and product-health frameworks.
- Translate ambiguous problems into hypotheses, analytical approaches, and recommendations.
- Influence roadmap, prioritization, and investment decisions through executive-level data storytelling.
- Establish metric governance and analytical best practices across product teams.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of product analytics or related quantitative experience.
- Advanced SQL and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in experimentation, statistical inference, causal analysis, funnels, cohorts, segmentation, and retention.
- Experience defining North Star metrics, KPIs, guardrails, and measurement frameworks tied to business outcomes.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Experience with forecasting, anomaly detection, and large-scale behavioral datasets.
- Strong product judgment and ability to independently navigate ambiguity.
- Exceptional executive communication and data storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and mentor analysts.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
