What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing major and minor repairs, and overseeing less-experienced associates. The position requires managing maintenance schedules, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and upholds company policies and values to deliver high-quality, sustainable facility services that support operational excellence and business priorities.
About the team:
The Facilities Maintenance team oversees HVACR operations by coordinating resources and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. They collaborate to troubleshoot, repair, and improve refrigeration and HVAC systems while managing inventory and vendor relationships. Focused on operational excellence, the team supports ongoing learning to address evolving challenges effectively. What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document facility conditions, recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety.
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency and budget adherence.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements and maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong leadership capabilities to oversee work, provide training, and evaluate technician skill sets.
- Competence in managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and budget reporting.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with managers, contractors, and associates.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
