Your Role in Carbery's Success

The role requires the performance of several routine and non-routine functions within a large quality control (QC) laboratory. The Lab analyst is responsible for both microbiological and chemical analysis of a wide range of samples including but not limited to milk, in-process samples, environmental and final products and may be assigned to work in the QC chemistry, microbiology, & milk testing laboratories. The lab analyst will support laboratory & business functions by participating in a weekend work schedule. The laboratories are CLAS compliant and the lab analyst is expected to contribute to audit prep activities by ensuring all work is documented correctly, qc checks are completed, and the highest standards are maintained in your work environment. The lab analyst will need to acquire detailed knowledge of the various functions and duties to adequately support the laboratory team, and thus extensive training is provided.

How You Will Contribute

Analysing environmental (water, swabs), in-process and final product samples relating to milk and milk products (generated by milk suppliers, milk intake, cheese & ingredients production, Dairy taste, and R&D departments).

Recording sample info, results and QC checks on LIMS as required.

Participating in Monthly or Quarterly External proficiency schemes.

Cleaning, monitoring housekeeping and consumables stock control within the lab and stores area.

Performing non-routine activities and project/ CI work that may be assigned as required.

Assist in training new analysts as required.
