Markel is seeking a Senior Change Management Specialist to support organizational change management activities across the Guidewire portfolio for the United States and Bermuda. This role partners with Senior Change Managers, business leaders, and delivery teams to drive user readiness, adoption, and value realization across Guidewire implementations and enhancements.The ideal candidate is a hands-on change practitioner who excels at impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, training support, readiness planning, and adoption measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Change Execution & Readiness
- Conduct change impact assessments and readiness evaluations.
- Identify adoption risks, resistance points, and mitigation actions.
- Maintain stakeholder analyses, readiness plans, and change deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Partner with business leaders and end users to support adoption.
- Develop and execute targeted communications, FAQs, leadership messaging, and release updates.
- Facilitate workshops, feedback sessions, and change network activities.
Learning & Enablement
- Support development of training materials, job aids, and enablement resources.
- Coordinate training activities and readiness milestones.
- Ensure employees are prepared to operate effectively in future-state processes.
Adoption & Value Realization
- Track readiness, adoption, and proficiency metrics.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to improve outcomes.
- Support deployment, hypercare, and post-go-live reinforcement activities.
- Help measure and sustain business value realization.
Program Support
- Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, and Delivery teams to integrate change activities into release plans.
- Maintain change documentation, reporting, action items, and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in Change Management, Communications, Training, Organizational Development, or Business Transformation.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology implementations; Guidewire experience preferred.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience conducting impact assessments, readiness evaluations, and adoption measurement.
- Prosci or comparable change management certification preferred.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, digital adoption platforms) to automate administrative tasks, accelerate content creation, summarize insights, develop communications, support training development, and improve overall change delivery efficiency.

Pay information:
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary range for the Sr. Change Management Specialist - Guidewire is $78,000 - $107,250 with 15% incentive.
