Applications Engineer – M365

This role will play a crucial role in managing, customizing and optimizing SharePoint, OneDrive Teams and other applications as assigned. This person will be responsible for ensuring the SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams environments runs efficiently and securely for QTS’s business needs. This includes custom intranet (MyQTS) development, workflows, automations and PowerApps to create custom solutions to meet specific requests and requirements from the business. This position requires the ability to transform the existing SharePoint environment into a true business platform as we continue to deploy additional M365 applications.

 

What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities) 

Manage and maintain SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists and permissions

·       Monitor system health, performance, and security to ensure optimal operation

·       Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows and apps

·       Provide counsel and education around SharePoint and OneDrive, when each is appropriate for collaboration

·       Migrate content as needed from sites to sites and libraries to libraries

·       Implement and maintain custom forms, automations, webparts and more using modern SharePoint tools.

·       Integrate SharePoint with other Office365 applications such as: Teams, OneDrive and Power Platform

·       Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance collaboration and productivity

·       Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and data protection measures

·       Create documentation, user guides, and training materials for end-users

·       Work cross-functionally to understand current challenges and recommend forward thinking solutions

·       Troubleshoot and assist users for SharePoint and OneDrive as needed

·       Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:  (Required Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications) 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field; specialized training, or equivalent professional experience

·       Five or more years of SharePoint design/development experience with SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams

·       Knowledge of SharePoint and OneDrive best practices and ongoing knowledge of latest features
 

Nice to Have: (Preferred Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications) 

·       Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals

·       Microsoft Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate

·       Microsoft Certified: Solutions Architect Expert (nice to have)
Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum)
