The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering financial analysis, business support, and performance insights that help drive results across Xylem’s Applied Water business. This role provides critical support for orders and sales reviews, backlog management, margin analysis, new initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
The position partners closely with the Senior Finance Manager, as well as Sales and Operations leadership, to deliver data-driven analysis, actionable recommendations, and financial solutions that support business performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, sound financial judgment, and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial support and analysis for orders, sales, backlog, margin performance, and key commercial finance initiatives across the Applied Water business.
Prepare weekly Risks and Opportunities (R&O) reporting for Applied Water manufacturing sites, including updated trends on orders, sales, margin, and other commercial finance metrics.
Upload flash results into OneStream and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Prepare and distribute monthly reporting on orders and sales by site, market, and product line.
Lead the preparation and continuous improvement of the monthly Commercial MBR presentation process.
Support budget and forecasting activities by providing meaningful commentary on year-over-year and cycle-over-cycle changes.
Partner with the SIOP team and Product Line Managers (PLMs) to reconcile order outlooks with demand planning assumptions.
Lead monthly low-margin reviews with Sales and PLM teams to identify discrepancies, address performance issues, and anticipate future pricing adjustments.
Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards to monitor trends in orders, sales, margins, and backlog.
Track price realization monthly for budget and forecast cycles, partnering with the Pricing team to understand key initiatives, assumptions, and business impacts.
Support month-end close activities for applicable Applied Water sites, including commercial finance analysis related to price/mix, rebates, and promotional activities.
Own the daily sales and order reporting files for total Applied Water.
Implement and improve standard processes and procedures to ensure financial accuracy, data integrity, and completeness.
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis in support of Applied Water sites, as needed.
Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum of 3 years of related financial work experience required.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and planning.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, prioritization, and time management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Strong leadership capability and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional team environments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; experience with databases, Oracle, and OneStream preferred.
Power BI or Tableau experience preferred.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $112,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
