Located in Granada Hills, Balboa Veterinary Medical Center has proudly served pets and their families for more than 50 years. This full-service veterinary practice provides compassionate, comprehensive care ranging from wellness and preventive medicine to dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care. Our practice sees dogs, cats, and pocket pets, and the team is committed to creating a welcoming, nurturing environment for both clients and their pets while providing personalized treatment plans focused on each patient’s health and comfort.
We're currently looking for a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience as a Veterinary Assistant, and have flexible availability, as schedule may include both opening and closing shifts.
Qualifications
Experience as a Veterinary Assistant
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
Assist Veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
Compensation: $18.50-$22/hr, depending on experience.
