Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Intake in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will help manage access control, screen personnel and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through professional customer service and clear communication. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, remain visible to help deter incidents, and contribute to security-related operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with site policies, documenting prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry permissions while maintaining accurate screening and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding business perimeter, reporting security-related concerns and conditions that may require attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
