What Will You Do?
Join the Residential Landscape Contractor Parts team and gain hands-on experience supporting business growth through data analysis, sales collaboration and process improvement. You’ll own a meaningful summer project while helping develop practical solutions that improve how our teams work and support Parts growth.
- Own a defined summer project focused on improving a Parts business process, tool, reporting need or growth opportunity from discovery through implementation.
- Organize and consolidate dealer, sales, program and performance information into resources that are easier for teams to access and use.
- Document key data sources, reporting tools, systems and workflows to identify gaps, duplication and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze Parts and dealer performance to identify trends, sales opportunities, category gaps and areas requiring additional focus.
- Translate business and dealer insights into practical marketing resources, dealer communications, sales tools or program support materials.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT, Finance, Operations and field teams to understand business needs, improve coordination and develop practical solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, working sessions and field or channel discussions to gain a broader understanding of Toro’s business and dealer network.
- Gather stakeholder feedback, test potential improvements and create documentation that supports continued use after the internship.
- Present project progress, findings, outcomes and recommendations to business leaders.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field; candidates must plan to remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program following the internship.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in understanding how business functions, systems and processes work together.
- Ability to organize complex or loosely defined problems, identify opportunities and develop practical recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, data visualization, SharePoint or similar business tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different functions and levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to ask questions, learn unfamiliar systems and understand how work gets done.
