Description

Assist with planning, researching, and purchasing materials and commodities to support production and all operations at Acutec.  Perform daily expedite on all past due deliveries and communicate status as required.  Capture data to support supplier development and accountability.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes procurement strategies as assigned.

• Analyzes and evaluates bid responses.

• Monitors supplier deliveries and maintains necessary records.

• Interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings/specifications.

• Expedites, and negotiates changes relative to delivery and supplier performance.

• Utilizes communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.

• Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable government regulations.

• Utilizes MS Office Suite, JobBoss, SentryFile and other applications.

• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Key Roles 

• Create and execute purchase orders in alignment with procurement strategies and as directed.

• Expedite past due deliveries each day, update purchase order dates and communicate to appropriate internal customers.

• Manages purchase order delivery dates to align with changing company needs.

• Considers and utilizes inventory when executing purchasing plans.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School, GED or educational equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.

The employee must have the ability to stay organized and utilize math to assist with job functions. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Physical Demands

Physical demands include sitting, typing and talking on the phone frequently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is rarely loud. 

Travel and overtime are required when necessary.
