Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is part of Circle K's Global Finance organization and is responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations

Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player, who would like to join our team as:

Accountant in Record to Report Germany team

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Process and maintain financial records in compliance with Group policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
• Process accounting transactions and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with approved departmental procedures.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyses, investigate discrepancies and errors, and ensure their resolution.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
• Review and investigate information submitted by other departments and develop an understanding of the related business processes.
• Support internal stakeholders by responding to accounting-related inquiries and ad hoc requests.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve process documentation.
• Participate in projects, perform ad hoc analyses, and support other accounting and finance activities as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a similar field.
• At least 1 year of experience in controlling, accounting, auditing or a similar field, preferably within an international work environment.
• Good computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel) and a background in accounting systems (experience with SAP, Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage).
• The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• An accurate and detail-oriented approach, combined with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset and a high level of responsibility and ownership.
• The ability to work in a changing environment and a willingness to grow professionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues across Europe and North America.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with colleagues across Europe. Knowledge of German to communicate with colleagues in Germany is an advantage.
