Role Definition
Position Title: Commercial Business Analyst (CBA)
Department: Care Enablement (CE)
Reports to (position): Head of Sales Chronic Renal and Seating ANZ Secondary (dotted line); Finance Business Partner ANZ
Primary purpose of the role:
The Commercial Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting commercial operations of FME CE ANZ. The primary focus of this role will be managing pricing & discount calculations and processes for the ANZ region, creating financial modelling simulation, project profitability review and preparation of business cases for Investment Committee approval. In addition to this the CBA will coordinate and partner with the ANZ C.E Commercial team to provide contracts, tender & pricing support. The CBA will lead process improvement, commercial & financial efficiency projects in partnership with ANZ Commercial and Finance partners

Key Accountabilities
Business Development & Opportunity Evaluation
• Evaluate business development opportunities by conducting commercial and financial assessments of potential projects.
• Prepare recommendations, secure management approval, and oversee follow-up activities through to execution.
Financial Modelling & Analysis
• Build, update, and refine financial models to support pricing, investment decisions, and project evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs and assumptions, prepare projections, and generate commercial offers.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to support data-driven business decisions.
Pricing & Discount Calculations
• Calculate CFP, list prices, discounts, and other pricing or cost-related metrics.
• Act as the key liaison on pricing and cost matters with commercial and finance stakeholders.
Project Profitability Review
• Review project profitability across direct sales arrangements and PPT projects.
• Provide insights and recommendations to inform management decision- making.
Proposal & Business Case Preparation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to draft, refine, and finalise commercial proposals and offers aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive business cases for projects requiring Investment Committee approval, including financial analysis, assumptions, and risk assessment.

• Create and present materials for management review and approval at country and regional levels.
• Oversee governance and internal approval processes, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and timely sign-offs.
Project Management & Coordination
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from initiation through to execution.
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.
• Act as the central point of contact across Finance, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Proactively manage relationships, resolve issues, and ensure accountability across all parties.
Project Performance Tracking
• Monitor project progress and financial performance.
• Prepare variance analyses (actual vs forecast) and recommend corrective actions where required.
Support Commercial Administration
Contract & Commercial Administration Support
• Create tools to monitor contracted accounts’ adherence to commercial terms
(e.g. volumes, utilisation rates) to ensure compliance and profitability.
Tender & Pricing Support
• Support tender submissions and pricing strategies through market research,
competitor analysis, and financial evaluation.
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate project documentation, contracts, and compliance records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support SOX controls testing and ensure adherence to internal control requirements.
Act as a key member of the team
Process Improvement & Financial Efficiency
• Review existing processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, particularly within approval and governance processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Build and manage dashboards and scorecards to track commercial KPIs
• Analyse sales trends, pricing insights and margin performance
General & Ad Hoc Business Support
• Support ad hoc projects, assignments, and broader business initiatives as required.
• Train new team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and tools to ensure consistency and compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; Master’s degree (MBA,
Finance, or equivalent) highly desirable.
• CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in a commercial business analyst, commercial finance, corporate finance, or similar role
within a complex or matrixed organisation.
• Proven experience in commercial business analysis, financial modelling, business case development, and
contract management.
• Demonstrated capability in evaluating business development opportunities and supporting investment or
governance decision-making.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Advanced financial modelling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with
senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SOX controls testing and internal control frameworks (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, governance, and compliance requirements.
