As a Tax Accountant – Senior Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to grow beyond traditional boundaries. You’ll collaborate closely with investment, estate, and financial planning professionals to continuously apply and expand your tax expertise across a broad range of real-world client situations—far beyond the preparation of returns.

Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and/or review complex income tax returns for local and nationwide high-net-worth clients
Prepare and review tax projections for estimated payments, charitable strategies, retirement planning, and Roth conversions.
Collaborate with tax, business advisory team, and financial advisors to create integrated planning opportunities for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
Research, analyze, and resolve a wide range of tax issues
Communicate with clients to request data, respond to questions, and participate in client meetings as a support role for the lead advisor
Proactively interact with clients and assist in creating an outstanding client experience.
Assist with the timely completion and submission of all client-related transaction requests.
Organize and maintain the CRM system (Salesforce), utilize Thomson Reuters Suite to prepare returns and projections.
Drive proactive process improvement for advisors and team members.
Qualifications:
Experience with private equity, executive compensation, high complexity K-1 activity, and multi-state filings at the individual level
Growth mindset – desire to improve, learn, and evolve in a high-performing team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dense environment during tax season
Interest in building a long-term career with access to unique career paths and advancement opportunities as Cerity Partners continues to grow
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
CPA, EA, or JD designation recommended
3-7 years of experience in a similar setting
Proven experience working with high-net-worth individuals and family entities
Proficiency in technology-driven tax workflows (Thomson Reuters experience preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation Range:
$100,000
