Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Global Tax Team, with a primary focus on Indirect Taxes, such as VAT and GST, across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers exposure to diverse international tax compliance requirements across APAC, EMEA, UK, and Canada while working in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, demonstrate ownership, and be comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools in combination with MS Excel to drive efficiency and accuracy in tax operations.

Responsibilities

Global Transaction Tax Compliance Operations

· Prepare, review, and support indirect tax compliance activities including:

· VAT / GST return packages preparation and filing

· Researching on applicability of legislative updates and taking proactive steps

· Support tax audits, tax authority queries, and information requests

· Maintain tax compliance calendars and ensure adherence to filing deadlines

· Perform monthly and quarterly tax reconciliations

· Assist in documenting and strengthening tax processes and internal controls.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Partner with Accounting, Finance, FP&A, Legal, and Business Operations teams to resolve tax-related matters and technical queries

· Support implementation of tax requirements in business processes and systems.

· Coordinate and manage external consultants and vendors, building and sustaining strong relationships to support business objectives

Technology & Automation

· Leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of tax processes

· Support automation initiatives for data extraction, reconciliation, compliance preparation, and reporting

· Work with ERP systems and reporting tools to analyze transaction-level tax data

· Evaluate processes to identify efficiency and automation opportunities

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Taxation, or related field

· 2–4 years of relevant experience in Indirect Tax/VAT/GST Compliance/Transaction Tax

· Experience supporting multiple international jurisdictions is preferred

· Strong understanding of indirect tax concepts and compliance requirements

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with NetSuite ERP and tax engines platforms such as Avalara/Avatax and Similar tax technology solutions

· Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent are advantageous
